charlie's rock is a fun water hole! with dramatic heights and rocks of all heights to jump off. there is a little track to walk there, takes no more than five minutes. bring a towel, friends, family & a picnic.

Kerikeri is a unique place; lush with old growth rainforest and a sleepy, tropical feel. It is an important town for Maori and New Zealand history, it was here that the first permanent settlers arrived and began relationships with existing Maori residents, early 1800's. Now, Kerikeri village has boutique shopping, award-winning cafes and restaurants as well as excellent farmers' market's. Locals who live here love the laid back beach culture of grabbing a wave before work or taking the boat out after a long day at the office.
