AWARD WINNING Bay of Islands Private,
Beach Accommodation for Two (or more!)
Romantic, private, immaculate and affordable - Driftwood is a waterfront Vineyard Estate in the Bay of Islands offering two beachview baches and two waterfront eco glampsites.
The charm of Driftwood is its authentic Kiwi personality, found in the natural beauty, the breathtaking water and beach views, the easy water access, and the unique character of the chic beachy decor. A stay at the Driftwood Vineyard Estate is a proper nostalgic seaside holiday with a modern twist!
During your stay at Driftwood you can fish, dive, swim, ride horses, row a dingy along the shoreline, cook pizzas or roast marshmallows in the beachside firepit - although there's nothing wrong with just relaxing with a good book while enjoying the spectacular view.
Immaculate and pristine - the cottages are designed just for two (put me up bed available for "smalls").
Driftwood is a private waterfront property on 15 acres located on the prestigious Purerua Peninsula in the heart of the Bay of Islands. This stunning property has its own sheltered private inlet shelly beaches, and is also close to the iconic white sand Tapuaetahi beach, with views from the Cavali Islands to the Bay of Islands and Russell. Kerikeri shopping and vibrant cafe scene is just a 15-minute drive from Driftwood, and the world class Kauri Cliffs golf course is also nearby.
The unique beauty of the Driftwood and its accommodation have been featured in the media, in advertising photo shoots, and as the backdrop of music videos. Bestselling UK author Susan Lewis used Driftwood as the setting for her latest book “Don’t Let Me Go.”
A personal note from owners Richard and Vanessa: We are passionate about the natural beauty of Driftwood and are seasoned travellers too! We have set out to create the place we'd most love to stay in ourselves. Immaculately clean, private, full of personality and with breathtaking views. Most of all it is important to us to be affordable and surpass expectations.
As long as we have availability, our accommodation is always immaculate, fresh and “ready to go,” even for a single night mid Winter. We love sharing this special piece of Northland with fellow travellers, and have kept our prices down to encourage longer stays!
